Theodore E. Davis, son of the late Edith White Fuller and late Charles Davis, was born on October 24, 1933 in Berlin, Maryland.. He was also the grandson of the late Martie and Elizabeth Davis. He departed this life on July 17, 2017 at the Wicomico Nursing Home in Salisbury, Maryland after a long illness.
He was educated in the public schools of Worcester County, graduating from the former Worcester High School in Snow Hill, Maryland in 1951. Theodore graduated from Barbering School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War, receiving an honorable discharge at the end of his tour of duty. He was a member of Duncan-Showell America Legion post #231.
Theodore was joined in holy matrimony to Naomi Alice Williams for 56 years who preceded him in death.
Theodore was a member of Mt. Olive Christian Fellowship Church in Fruitland, Maryland. He served as the chairperson of the Trustee Ministry, a member of the Men of Mt. Olive Male Choir, the Willing Workers Club, groundskeeper, and completed and other task needed.
As a Master Barber, Theodore worded at Sonny’s Barbershop in Berlin, Maryland and with Oliver Collier in Fruitland, Maryland. He worked a number of years at Crown Cork and Seal, English Catering, and was school bus contractor for Wicomico county Board of Education for 27 years.
He loved working in his yard, planting and maintaining his flowers and shrubs. His grandsons were his pride and joy. He loved spending time with them, teaching life lesson such as making and saving money, cooking and going to Denny’s. he also loved spending time with his entire family and friends. In addition, he had a great love for gospels quartet and Jazz music.
Hel leaves to cherish loving memories two children, Reid and Elder Ron (Malinda) Davis, Sr., of Salisbury, Maryland; four grandsons, Reginald (Ashley) Reid, Ryan Reid, Ron Davis, Jr. and Byron Davis; one great-grandson, Aiden Reid, two brothers, Harley (Doris) Prierce and Telia (Peggy) Fuller; two sisters, Marylee Smith and Joyce Smith, several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives, extended family and friends.
The battle is over, you fought a good fight
You’re at eternal rest now in the land so fair and bright.
